On February 27, 28, and 29, mezzo-soprano Catherine Cook sang Julia Child in Lee Hoiby's Bon Appétit! at the Sun Valley Music Festival. The repertoire for the festival was a secret until the performance began. For the first time, Ms. Cook was accompanied by a chamber orchestra instead of the piano as she walked the audience through baking a Gâteau au Chocolat "Éminence Brune".

Mezzo-soprano Krisztina Szabó is soloist in Beethoven's Mass in C Major with Kansas City Symphony. Performances will be held on February 28 and 29, and March 1(m), at the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts.

Soprano Kelly Kaduce, tenor Vale Rideout, and mezzo-soprano Catherine Cook have been announced in Opera Colorado's 2020-21 season. Ms. Kaduce and Mr. Rideout will sing in Paul Moravec's The Shining, based on the novel by Stephen King. Ms. Kaduce reprises Wendy Torrance, the role she created in the opera's world premiere, and Mr. Rideout sings the role of Delbert Grady. Ms. Cook sings Lucia in Cavalleria rusticana.

Mezzo-soprano Krisztina Szabó returns to Tafelmusik in the 2020-21 season as soloist in the concert "Vivaldi's Choral Colours". The May 2021 program includes the composer's Magnificat, Dixit Dominus, and the lesser-known RV 588 Gloria.

Tenor Christopher Bozeka returns to Houston Grand Opera to sing Don Gaspar in La favorite on January 24, 26(m), and February 1, 6, and 9(m); the Messenger in Aida on January 31 and February 2(m), 8, 11, 14, and 16(m); and the Fourth Jew in Salome on April 17, 19(m), 25, and 28, and May 1.

Tenor Matthew DiBattista and mezzo-soprano Catherine Cook have been announced in San Francisco Opera's 2020-21 season. Mr. DiBattista sings his company debut as the Doctor in Poul Ruders' The Handmaid's Tale, and Ms. Cook returns as Berta in Il barbiere di Siviglia.

Soprano Mary Feminear returns to Opera Omaha in its 2020-21 season as the Countess in Le nozze di Figaro. This production will open Opera Omaha's season in November of 2020.

Alexander Fiterstein's January 25 concert with the Poulenc Trio and Candlelight Concert Society is featured in the Baltimore Sun's Spring 2020 Performance Highlights. Mr. Fiterstein will join the trio for Poulenc's Clarinet Sonata and the East Coast premiere of Viet Cuong's Explain Yourself.

Opera Parallèle's Harvey Milk, featuring Matthew Worth in the title role and Catherine Cook as Mama, has been featured in music critic Joshua Kosman's 2020 Performance Highlights for the San Francisco Chronicle. Harvey Milk will be performed in May at the Blue Shield Theater of California.

Pianist Cecile Licad will join cellist Alban Gerhardt for a recital of Beethoven, Debussy, and Franck with Shriver Hall Concert Series. The performance will be held at Baltimore's Shriver Hall on November 10 at 5:30PM.

Baritone Ben Edquist sings the role of William on the premiere recording of Glass' The Fall of the House of Usher, newly released on the Orange Mountain Music label. Mr. Edquist previously sang William in Wolf Trap Opera's 2017 production of the opera.

Baritone Matthew Worth and stage director Jose Maria Condemi will return to Central City Opera for its 2020 Summer Festival season. Mr. Worth will sing Billy Bigelow in Carousel from July 4-August 2, and Mr. Condemi will direct Rigoletto, which opens July 11 and runs through July 31.

Clarinetist Alexander Fiterstein and the Tesla String Quartet will release their new album Joy & Desolation (Orchid Classics) on October 18th, 2019. The album features performances of Mozart's Clarinet Quintet in A Major, Finzi's Five Bagatelles arranged for clarinet and string quartet, Corigliano's Soliloquy, and Heredia's Ius in Bello.

On October 18 and 19, soprano Abigail Fischer will reprise Mrs. X.E. in Du Yun's Pultizer Prize-winning Angel's Bone at the Beijing Music Festival. Ms. Fischer originally created the role of Mrs. X.E. in the opera's world premiere at the Prototype Festival, and can be heard on the National Sawdust Tracks recording.

Mezzo-soprano Catherine Cook returns to San Francisco Opera as Marcellina in Le nozze di Figaro. The production opens on October 11, with further performances on October 13(m), 16, 19, 22, 25, and 27(m), and November 1, at the War Memorial Opera House.
