Tenor John Bellemer will be featured in the opening night concert of the Salt Bay Chamberfest on August 7th. Along with cellist Wilhemina Smith, Mr. Bellemer will perform works by Ventadorn, Dowland, Britten, Piazzolla, Golijov, Schubert and Labro - composers whose music spans 9 centuries.

Mezzo-Soprano Phyllis Pancella will be featured in composer Ingrid Stölzel's first solo commerical recording, entitled "The Gorgeous Nothings," released July 13 on Navona Records. Ms. Pancella is joined by oboist Margaret Marco and pianist Ellen Sommer. The album's title is based on a 2013 collection of Emily Dickinson’s previously unpublished writings.

Soprano Alexandra Schoeny will perform the experimental new opera The Bradbury Tattoos - based on four short stories by author Ray Bradbury - in encore performances on July 22nd (5 and 8pm), with the group Concert: Nova. The production, composed by Zac Greenberg and libretto by Michael Burnham, opened on July 13th in Memorial Hall, Cincinnati.

Bass-Baritone Nathan Stark will perform the roles of Pangloss/Voltaire with Angels Vocal Arts, Pasadena, in their production of Candide, celebrating the centennial of Leonard Bernstein, on July 20th and 21st. The production is conducted by Kristof Van Grysperre and directed by Tanya Kane-Parry.

Soprano Alexandra Schoeny will join the Philadelphia Orchestra on July 18th for a program entitled "Bernstein: Broadway & Beyond," in celebration of the late composer's centennial. Ms. Schoeny is joined by baritone Joseph Lattanzi and pianist Stewart Goodyear.

Soprano Meredith Hansen and bass-baritone Nathan Stark will join the Boston Landmarks Orchestra at the iconic Esplanade Hatch Shell for their performance of Verdi's Requiem on August 1st. They are joined by Ann McMahon Quintero, mezzo-soprano, Yeghishe Manucharyan, tenor and conductor Christopher Wilkins.

Mezzo-Soprano Marietta Simpson is set to premiere Lembit Beecher's opera Sky on Swings, which will be Opera Philadelphia's season-opening festival. Alongside mezzo-soprano Frederica von Stade, the chamber opera explores Alzheimer's Disease during World Alzheimer's Month, an international campaign mounted each September to raise awareness and challenge the stigma that surrounds dementia.

Cellist Colin Carr is set to perform all 6 of Bach's cello suites as part of the last week of the Rockport Chamber Music Festival on Thursday, July 12th. This last week of the festival will focus on the Dover Quartet, with Mr. Carr as a visiting artist. The festival runs through July 15th.

Baritone Matthew Worth will sing the role of "Hannah Before" in Laura Kaminsky's new opera As One, which details the transition of a transgendered woman named Hannah. Mezzo-Soprano Amber Fasquelle will sing the role of "Hannah After". The opera will premiere in a co-production with Cincinatti Opera and the Chatauqua Opera Company on August 7th.

Tenor Joseph Dennis will sing the role of Tamino in Mozart's The Magic Flute, which will open Central City Opera's summer festival season. The production will also feature Jeni Houser, Kevin Langan, Katherine Manley, and Ashraf Sewailam. The Magic Flute opens on July 7th and runs through August 5th.

Chelsea Shephard will sing the soprano solo in Carl Orff's Carmina Burana with The Choral Society of the Hamptons in two performances on July 7th, at 5pm and 7:30pm at the Bridgehampton Presbyterian Church. Ms. Shephard is joined by soloists Alex Guerrero, Tenor; and Dominic Inferrera, Baritone, and conducted by Mark Mangini.

Mr. Sharp will be featured in a concert with American Bach Soloists, on March 18th, and Mr. Condemi will direct Mozart's Le nozze di Figaro on April 5th and 7th.

Cellist Colin Carr will be a featured artists at the Off the Hook Arts Festival, taking place in Colorado between June 24th and July 20th. This is the festival's seventh year, and will "take a deep and thoughtful look at climate change and its impact on the planet over the next month by bringing together music, visual arts and science in the form of concerts, lectures, films, art exhibitions and STEAM-based educational events for all ages."

Mr. Carr will perform in several concerts, playing the complete Bach cello suites, and works by Debussy, Schumann and Popper.

The festival will occur from August 4-11th.

Soprano Chelsea Shephard is one of the featured soloists in Dame Ethel Smyth's last major work The Prison, to be performed at Carnegie Hall on May 11th. The Prison adapts "a metaphysical text by [Smyth's] friend Harry Brewster, in which a condemned man communes with his own soul," and features a baritone prisoner (Tobias Greenhalgh) and a soprano interlocuter (Shephard).

Baritone Željko Lučić will sing the role of Seid in Verdi's Il Corsaro in Oper Frankfurt's 2018-19 season. The concert performances will be the house's debut of Verdi's opera, and will also feature Mario Chang, Roberta Mantegna, Dorothea Röschmann, and Brandon Cedel, with Francesco Lanzillotta conducting.
