Austrian Composer Johanna Doderer's fourth opera Der Leuchtende Fluss (A Kind Of Yellow) was released by Quinton Records on May 13, 2011. The recording took place during the premier performance of the work at Theater Erfurt in October 2010 in which John Bellemer performs the role of Ira Hayes.

Roy Cornelius Smith stepped in to replace Marcello Giordani for three performances as Dick Johnson in La Fanciulla del West with Lyric Opera of Chicago earlier this month. Mr. Giordani was called back to Italy due to a family illness. In his role debut, Mr. Smith received three cheering standing ovations.
