Vocalist - Mezzo-Soprano

Stacey Rishoi has received critical acclaim on concert stages across the U.S. for the beauty and power of her mezzo-soprano voice. Of her Adalgisa with Virginia Opera, the Washington Post’s critic stated, “It was Rishoi’s Adalgisa, however, who nearly stole the show with a performance that was convincing and unwavering from start to finish. … Rishoi commanded the stage with a lustrous voice graced with natural expression and a surprising clarion projection.”

"Rishoi was the soloist in 'When I was young' also from 'Donna Juanita.' As with all the singers, she sang with great force of character. Her dusky mezzo voice held its warmth... she charmed with her patter and pantomime....Rishoi sang the role of Ruth [in The Pirates of Penzance] with comic flair in her juicy song setting the underlying premise of the story in 'When Fred’ric was a little lad' when she mistook her instructions to apprentice Frederic to a pirate, not a pilot."
