Bass-baritone Zachary Altman has been gaining prominence as a diversely talented interpreter, both in the United States and Europe. Mr. Altman made his role debut as Bottom in A Midsummer Night's Dream in his debut with Teatro Massimo di Palermo, for which his "beautiful, authoritative vocals" were praised (L'ape musicale). A former Principal Resident Artist with Opera San Jose, and fellow with Music Academy of the West, Mr. Altman's recent performance as Tschao in Zemlinsky's Der Kreidekreis with Opéra de Lyon was roundly praised, "Tschao (Zachary Altman), the court clerk...displayed a warm, clear voice."
